Rewind, the latest installation by Terry Holloway, will be featured in the upcoming exhibition So Big, An Art Installation Show at the OSLP Arts and Culture Center. The exhibition runs from September 6th to October 25th, with an Opening Reception on September 6th from 5:30 to 8:00 pm.
Rewind is an exploration of memory, media, and the beauty found in brokenness. The installation features a colossal VHS tape, dramatically split and spilling black metallic tape, symbolizing the fragility of analog media and the fleeting nature of memories. For Holloway, who grew up during the height of VHS popularity, this piece is a deeply personal reflection on the tactile connection and sensory engagement that physical media once offered.
The OSLP Arts & Culture Program, which hosts So Big, An Art Installation Show, is dedicated to breaking down barriers to participation in the arts for people of all abilities. The program fosters a more diverse and inclusive community through workshops, mentorships, and cultural activities in Eugene, Oregon. The OSLP Arts and Culture Center is located at 110 E 11th Ave. Suite C.
Be sure to visit the exhibition and experience Rewind along with other impactful installations. Mark your calendars for the Opening Reception on September 6th!
