Enjoy a European-style outdoor studio environment where art-making, food, and beverage are paired with an engaging social experience. Join us for a free art happening where you are invited to engage with artists as they make art. You are also welcome to bring your own materials and make art along-side other artists.

MEET THE ARTIST COLLECTIVE: Earthbound Moon (EbM) is terraforming planet Earth, that is, making it more hospitable to life. They are a bit player in a massive movement of humanists engaged in this activity for the past two generations. EbM perform utilizes artistic intervention with the dominant environment altering species, humankind. Their interventions are intended to alter humanity’s perception of their world, and their definition of “natural resource”. MEET THE ARTIST COLLECTIVE: Eugene Printmakers brings small travelling presses to public gatherings to further the knowledge, practice and understanding of printmaking and book arts. They offer a variety of woodblocks and plates available to be printed on the spot at their printmaking events. MEET THE ARTIST: Jerry Ross is an established Eugene painter who shows in Europe. Ross and his wife Angela travel frequently to Italy, which continues to be the inspiration for many works. MEET THE ARTIST: Susan Detroy works in several series of work. One series is her botanical transfer mixed media prints. For this process she uses a historical photographic process, liquid and gel transfers, pens, ink and watercolor. The prints give voice for cactus and dragonfly, telling the world about our botanical and biologic siblings. The Fuzzy Beuys will be performing another surprise VJ set this Friday night from 5:30-6:30 downtown at the Park Blocks. We will be adding live visuals to an electrifying Bollywood dance party, with DJ Prashant of Jai Ho Bollywood Dance Party blending beats from around the world. There will also be vegan street food from Vengan Pa’Ka and festive alcoholic beverages from Thinking Tree Distillery. Music and dance kicks off at 5:30 p.m.

The Fuzzy Beuys will be performing a surprise VJ set Friday night from 5:30-6:30 downtown at the Park Blocks. Also get your dance on with outstanding live soul, funk and jazz from Sam & the Courtesy Clerks. There will also be vegan street food from Vengan Pa’Ka, delectable dumplings from The Dumpling Group and festive alcoholic beverages from Thinking Tree Distillery. Sam & the Courtesy Clerks entertain you starting at 5:30 p.m, while a variety of PNW visual artists augment the space using state-of-the-art projection mapping techniques.

Terry Holloway will be collaborating with two local artists for the upcoming “Light Up the Night” event in Eugene, Oregon.  “Spark,” a light installation created with Cari Ingrassia, will make its second appearance in Eugene.  It is made up of over 100 motion-reactive lights that display a celebration of creativity and inspiration.  With “The Painted Piano”, colored projections onto a piano enhanced by David Placencia will react to sound as the instrument is played.

“Light Up the Night” is supported by ArtCity Eugene, the Lane Arts Council, and City of Eugene Cultural Services, and will present a “showcase of multidisciplinary artists that use light and/or film to create artistic expression in the darkness of nightfall”.  It will be the 7:00 stop on the Lane Art Council’s First Friday Art Walk, guest hosted by KLCC’s Eric Alan.

Daydreams is a collection of sculptural installations by Terry Holloway and will be premiering in November. The show uses sculptural and technological elements to help add a fun and unique artistic experience to the lobby of the Broadway Commerce Center. Daydreams is comprised of 3 different installations, each dealing with themes of color, surrealism, imagination, and scale. Each piece has been made for past Object After Life Challenges, which repurposes used materials into works of art.

The show will be on display at the Broadway Commerce Center (44 W Broadway) in Eugene until Nov 27th.

Local installation artists, Cari Ingrassia and Terry Holloway team up to present “Spark,” a celebration of creativity and inspiration. The new installation is made up of over 100 motion activate lights that are triggered as the viewer walks around the piece. Small packages of “unborn ideas” are illuminated to reveal random fragments of the viewers imagination.

The installation is located downtown at the Broadway Commerce Center (behind Barn Light, Sizzle Pie, and Killer Burger).
Regular business hours are Monday – Friday 9am – 6pm.

Terry Holloway will be participating in this year’s PLATFORM Festival on May 6, at the EMU on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene. He will be collaborating with fellow Oregon artists, Mei-Ling Lee and Sarah Nemecek in a piece titled, “Beautiful Feather,” which incorporates musical composition, dancing, and video projection. The performance will be happening on the landing over Oregon Plaza promptly from 9:15-9:25pm.

The Integrated Arts PLATFORM Festival is supported by the City of Eugene Cultural Services and the University of Oregon, Harmonic Laboratory, and offers a “full-evening collaborative art experience.” The festival regularly collaborates with over 70 artists, musicians, and dancers to showcase work by and for the residents of Eugene, OR.
